Legacy Academy - Honor, Respect, Excellence

About Us

The Legacy Academy Activity Center is owned and managed by Tom Baggot, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin degreed with a B.S. in economics.  Tom is a native of Wisconsin Dells and, prior to starting the Legacy Academy in September, 2007, had earned a living in corporate real estate for several years, most recently as  Commercial Leasing Manager at Cingular Wireless / AT&T in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Legacy Academy endeavors to make entertaining and enjoyable youth activity programs available to area families at reasonable prices. Our versatile 6,000 square foot facility includes a reading & study room, recreation room, padded activity floors, a Rainbow Castle Playset, a jumping platform & landing pad, gymnastics training bars, tumbling mats, spring boards, climbing ropes, swing sets with baby seats, a rock climbing wall, a climbing net, a tire swing, hoppity balls, a Lego play table, two large screen Nintendo Wii consoles, karate equipment, a Super Strike bowling alley, regulation & kiddie basketball hoops, an adventure tunnel, play houses, bean bag &  ring tosses, jump ropes, and several free table games (e.g, air hockey, ping pong, foosball, Super Chexx bubble hockey, shuffle bowling, skeeball, shuffleboard, & pool tables), and other play equipment.  The academy seeks to bring quality After School and Summer Camp experiences to children between the ages of 7 to 12 as well as a birthday party program and an open gym program that is available to all children up to twelve years old.  In addition, we offer all-day care on most weekdays when area schools are not in session.  These youth programs primarily serve resident families in the metro area that includes Madison, Fitchburg, and Verona but are also available to the general public living outside of the greater Madison area.

No long term contract is required for participation in the After School program or the Summer Camp program.  Children may be  enrolled for the specific weeks of interest to their families.  However, total enrollment is capped due to space limitations.

The Youngsters Open Gym program is intended to give children an opportunity to enjoy free play in our comfortable indoor facility.  The open gym program is seasonally available to preschoolers and other pre-teen children on a daily basis.  An adult relative or nanny is required to supervise any children present under the age of seven.  Current open gym hours are posted on the Youngsters Open Gym page at this web site.

The Legacy Academy also offers interested families an opportunity to exclusively use the entire academy for the celebration of children's birthdays and other special events.  Two-hour party slots are available by appointment.  Further details on the Birthday Party program is available on another page at this web site.

Each Friday the Legacy Academy also hosts a Parents Night Out event whereby children between the ages of 5 - 12 may be dropped off to enjoy play time and an optional movie as well as pizza, a soda or juice box, and frozen confection for dessert.  Parents get the night off and a chance to enjoy a few hours without the kids.

Please call us at (608) 270-9977 or e-mail us at Manager@LegacyAcademy.info for further information on any of our youth activity programs.  We look forward to being of service to your family.  The Legacy Academy is located at 2881 Commerce Park Drive in Fitchburg (two long blocks behind the AMC Star Cinema on County Hwy PD / McKee Road).
