We provide an entertaining & enjoyable program for children attending area schools during their after school hours.

Program activities include:

• Arts & Crafts Instruction

 Bus or van transportation service to the Legacy Academy is available at no additional charge from 16+ area elementary schools following the end of each school day.  Following their arrival at our versatile 6,000 square foot facility in Fitchburg, attending children have an opportunity to enjoy a snack they bring or which is available for sale at the academy.  Afterward the children enjoy free time for play, reading, or study and then they participate in an organized group activity on most days which concludes at 5:00 pm.  The usual parent pickup time is between 5:00 - 6:15 pm though early pickups are also accommodated as needed.

Youngsters enrolled in the after school program are treated to a diversified mix of group activities each week including gymnastics tumbling, physical fitness oriented gym games, as well as arts & crafts lessons and reading sessions.  The academy also has thirteen desktop computers available for student use.

Schools Serviced with Transportation in the After School Program

The Legacy Academy after school program is focused on serving children between the ages of 7 - 12 (per state law, only three children under the age of seven may attend this program at any one time).  Daily bus or van transportation to the academy is currently provided from the following area elementary schools:

The new weekly tuition for the After School program during the 2011-12 school year is only $55.00 per child.  The tuition includes daily bus or van transportation from school to the academy.

All-day coverage is also available at the academy on weekdays when area schools are not in session as a result of parent-teacher conferences, teacher union conventions, teacher in-service, or snow days.  All-day coverage is available to academy members and to the general public as well.  The cost for all-day care during the school year is $35.00 per day or $150 per week.
