Open Gym

From November 1, 2011 through April 15, 2012, the Youngsters Open Gym schedule is:

Monday - Friday             10:00 am - 12:00 noon

                                            12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Saturday & Sunday:      10:00 am - 12:00 noon

The Legacy Academy will hold its regularly scheduled weekday open gym hours of 10:00 am to noon & 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm on Monday, January 16, 2012 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day).

The Youngsters Open Gym program is open to the public.  Children from toddlers up to age 12 are welcome to participate in the  morning open gym program which is primarily attended by preschool children and youngsters in the lower grades.  The admission fee is $5.00 per child with no charge for supervising adults or tots under one year old.  Discounted coupon booklets good for ten child-visits are also available at a cost of $40.00.

Home schooled youngsters are particularly invited to participate in the open gym sessions held during the school year on Thursday afternoons from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm.  These Thursday afternoon sessions during the school year also remain open to the public.

Youngsters can enjoy our entire 6,000 square foot indoor playground including its padded activity floors, recreational room, free table games  (including SuperChexx bubble hockey, foosball, shuffleboard, air hockey, ping pong, skeeball, & pool tables), Lego play table, swinging ropes, regulation & kiddie basketball hoops, Rainbow Castle Playset, jumping platform & landing pad, a Super Strike bowling alley, an adventure tunnel, play houses, tricycles, swing sets, a tire swing, hoppity balls, karate equipment, ring & bean bag tosses, jump ropes, hula hoops, gymnastics training bars, tumbling mats, spring boards, swing sets with baby seats, and other play equipment.  An adult relative or a nanny hired by the parents is required to supervise any children present under the age of seven. 

Parents and/or nannies are welcome to bring in snacks at their option.  A refrigerator, freezer, microwave ovens, and cafeteria tables are available for customer use.  A comfortable sitting room suitable for nursing and a baby changing table are also available as well as baby highchairs.

If your organization or group would like to arrnage to make the Legacy Academy a field trip destination then we are glad to schedule such visits year 'round.  The price for such group visits is $4.00 per child for groups with ten or more children (no charge for tots under one year old) for a two-hour playdate at our indoor playground.
